8th grade softball beat Genoa MS in a great extra innings game last night in dramatic fashion - 6 to 5. The Jags took a one run lead in the 7th but the Eagles tied it up with an RBI single from Olivia Long. In the 8th, Avery Moravita started off the inning with a double to left and Josey Durst finished the inning off with a walkoff single that scored Avery for the victory. Maddy Baucke, Maggie Adams, and Olivia had multiple hits and Ashlyn Greathouse pitched a great game from the circle. Key defensive plays were made by Jenna Cousere, Gabby Delgenio, and Callie Bowman to secure the win.
Great win for the Eagles.
