Ashlyn Greathouse had another complete game win from the circle and she was helped by some outstanding defense from Maggie Adams, Josey Durst, and Joslyn Shaver. Offense was highlighted by a perfectly executed bunt by Chloe Rice that scored an insurance run in the 7th. The 4-0 Eagles play Olentangy Shanahan Thursday at home.

More About MS Girls Lacrosse Defeats Berlin Bruins 9-2The boys lax team improved their season record to 4-0-1 with a tough fough 10-5 victory over Orange. Scoring for the Eagles were the usual suspects of Gavin League and Jackson Willms each with 3 goals. Auggie Precht with 2 goals and Peyton Pillion with a goal as well. Maclain Baker scored his first goal of the season, and he absolutely laid the BOOM on an Orange player with a huge hit that led to a turnover and goal for BW. Jalen Jones played a great game, grabbing 9 ground balls and Max Shearer was strong as always in goal, stopping 10 shot attempts. Finally, a big shout out to Preston Layton who made a great defensive call in the second half, thereby stopping Orange's rally attempt.The boys return to action against Hilliard Memorial at HOME tomorrow night at 5:30. Teams from all over Ohio met to compete and settle it on the field. The Eagles began the day on Saturday with a 9-3 victory over Milford, followed by a fantastic 11-5 win against Rocky River. On Sunday, the team battled Jones Middle School from Upper Arlington. Despite losing the game, the team showed grit and heart. The coaches and parents were very proud of the effort, the teamwork, and the respect that the boys demonstrated throughout the weekend.Congratulations on an impressive and successful season!

More About Boys 8th Baseball vs. Marysville Bunsold 5/8/258th grade softball beat Genoa MS in a great extra innings game last night in dramatic fashion - 6 to 5. The Jags took a one run lead in the 7th but the Eagles tied it up with an RBI single from Olivia Long. In the 8th, Avery Moravita started off the inning with a double to left and Josey Durst finished the inning off with a walkoff single that scored Avery for the victory. Maddy Baucke, Maggie Adams, and Olivia had multiple hits and Ashlyn Greathouse pitched a great game from the circle. Key defensive plays were made by Jenna Cousere, Gabby Delgenio, and Callie Bowman to secure the win. Great win for the Eagles.

Besides scoring twice, Carter filled out the stats book with 2 ground balls, 1 broken Delaware stick, and 1 huge hit. More About Boys Middle School Lacrosse vs. Dempsey Middle SchoolCongratulations to Coach Ryan Balaz and the Big Walnut Boys Tennis Team for winning the OCC Championship and finishing league play with an undefeated record of 6-0. Big Walnut has now claimed the OCC boys tennis title for two consecutive seasons. OHSAA Tournament play begins next week, and for the first time in school history, our doubles team of Owen Davis and Suhaas Katta will compete together as the number one seed. This marks a significant milestone, as it is the first time, for either boys or girls, that Big Walnut has had a player seeded first at sectionals in Division 1. Amazing performance took place up and down the field, as the Big Walnut offense dominated the possessions, ground balls, and scoreboard. Several players scored their first goals of the season, including Jalen Jones, Clark Reckner, Jace Leonard and Brady Ruegg who scored twice.The duo of Jace Leonard and Max Osborne combined for a perfect 18 out of 18 on faceoffs, as well as combining for a total of 16 controlled balls. A special shout out to the goalies Max Shearer and Tyler Grannell who each stopped every shot attempt by Berkshire. Tyler also had a fantastic outlet clearing pass that eventually led to another Eagle goal.

The Eagles could not recover from an early Vikings lead in the first game. Maggie Adams had 3 hits and Joslyn Shaver had a run in the comeback attempt. The Eagles bats came alive in the second game recording 16 hits. Avery Moravitz had 3 of those including 2 doubles and Jenna Couser added 3 hits with one being a triple.
