What a terrific weekend!! We had 11 personal records, 11 season bests, 4 champions, and 2 school records. The really cool thing about this meet is that there are so many good teams with strong competitors in every event. Nobody gets an easy victory. Winning by three points gives credence to one of our mottos on the team, “Every girl, every event, every point matters.” In the process, we beat a very strong John Glenn team. They were a Division II District Championship team last year, and it showed. We battled back and forth the entire meet. This win makes us 45-3 for the season.

There were so many highlights it is hard to pinpoint just one. Colbi Borland broke both her 1600m run and 3200m run records. Kaley Rammelsberg won both the high jump and long jump, and scored 30 points in the process. Hanna Pinkston scored in all four of her events. Kaitlin Meade placed 2nd in three events and 5th in the triple jump – and beat the John Glenn triple jumper head-to-head to secure our victory.

I love the fact that we are getting consistent scoring in all areas on the track and field. This makes us a very difficult team to beat. I am hoping this trend keeps up as we head into the last few weeks of the regular season and beyond.
