Despite losing a close meet against Olentangy on Saturday 33-24, the Girls’ Cross Country team still had a strong showing by the promising young squad with nine PRs and five course records. The team now stands at 9-3
Freshman Emma Kelly led the way with a 3rd place finish, and setting the freshman course record and school course record; sophomore Gianna Rose-Romosier was right behind her with a 4th place finish and the sophomore course record. The two of them really pushed each other the whole time. It was great watching them work together the way they did. Rounding out the scorers were freshman Kaylyn Huber, 6th place; freshman Kylie Brandt, 8th place; and freshman Addie Zielinski, 15th place. Five of our first six finishers were freshmen, and the six one was a sophomore. That makes the coaching staff excited, and the future very bright!
Trinity Glenn set the junior course record, and Annika Anderson set the senior course record.
