Near perfect cross country weather helped the Eagles to a near perfect race !

Our girls team finished 10th in the 17 team field of the best teams in Central Ohio. Finishing behind us were many GOOD cross country powerhouses such as Berlin, Pic North , Darby, Westerville Central and our OCC rival New Albany !!!

This is Big Walnut’s highest regional finish since we became a Division 1 school.

Despite the poor conditions, three Eagle runners ran personal best times. Julia Wiergowska (2022), Maddie Moroz (2238) and Gianna Rose (2241) all stepped up and had their greatest race in the most important meet.

Saturday’s results:
Colbi Borland 18:49 7th
Julia Wiergowska 20:22
Alina Pecci 20:27
Madi Yano 20:47
Grace Grunewald 21:37
Maddie Moroz 23:38
Gianna Rose 22:41

The season ends for the team. Colbi will carry the load alone next week at 12:30pm at the state meet at National Trail.
