SUNBURY — The Big Walnut boys soccer team closed out an impressive regular season with a 2–1 victory over Gahanna Lincoln on Saturday night at Big Walnut High School Stadium.
Holton Forman and Dustin Kline each scored for the Golden Eagles, who finished the year with a record of 11–4–3 and a second-place finish in the Ohio Capital Conference.
The win marks Big Walnut’s most successful season in eight years, a reflection of the team’s balanced attack, defensive organization, and leadership under head coach Martin Forman.
With momentum on their side, Big Walnut will now turn its attention to the postseason. The Golden Eagles will host the winner of the Logan vs. Mifflin matchup in the opening round of the Division II Central District Tournament on Wednesday, October 15, at 7 p.m. at Big Walnut High School.
