Boys Varsity Football · Coach Weaver steps down from coaching football

To the Big Walnut Football Community,

The Big Walnut Football program is very special. It consists of so much more than a football team. It is made up of an entire community of support, better known as The Big Walnut Football Family. For the past 20 years, I have had the distinct honor and pleasure to serve this program with my entire heart. I have worked hard to represent Big Walnut Football. It is a dream job to be the head football coach at Big Walnut moving forward and I want to express my sincere gratitude to all those associated.

I have had an incredible experience as a coach here. I walk away with amazing memories of championships, big games, great plays, and most of all great players. Over my time here I have seen a lot of faces grow up wearing the wings and I will cherish each memory. Each and every player will always hold a significant spot in my heart. My goal has always been to love my players and develop them not only as athletes but also as men that will grow to be great members of society, husbands, and fathers. I have poured everything I have into this program and the kids involved and it has been great. Hopefully, I have had the same lasting impact on them that they have had on me.

To all of my former players thank you for all the time, effort, pride, and loyalty you have given this program and to me.

I would like to thank all of the parents that have been involved with this program. Your support has been monumental in shaping this football family. What makes Big Walnut Football special is the people.

To the administration, I want to say thank you for the incredible opportunity and support along the way.

To all of my assistant coaches through the years, thank you for your unwavering commitment to our players and this program. I have thoroughly enjoyed working with all of you and I have learned a great deal from each one of you.

To all of the coaches’ wives, thank you. I have stolen a huge part of your family, leaving you a big void to fill. Thank you for the sacrifices you have made so your husbands could be at my beck and call.

The last and greatest thank you goes to my family, Team Weaver. You have been my driving force. You are my sense of strength and courage. I am a better person because of your love and support. And now, it is my turn to return that influence. I will be able to pour into you as much as you have poured into me.

To current Big Walnut Football Players: Thank you for all you have given to me and the program. You are truly remarkable young men. I have thoroughly enjoyed working with each of you. I wish you the best of luck and I will be watching closely and rooting for the Eagles, for I will always be a fan. Remember to Play Hard, Play Smart, and Play Together. Go Eagles
