Varsity Wrestling · Big Walnut HS hires new Wrestling Coach – Congrats Aaron Renner

Congrats to Aaron Renner who has accepted the position of Head Wrestling Coach at Big Walnut High School, pending board approval.

Coach Renner has been an assistant wrestling coach at Big Walnut HS for the past seven seasons and has coached wrestling for 11 years.   Coach Renner has been an integral part of our wrestling success over the last seven years.

A key piece to the equation of hiring Coach Renner was to maintain stability in our wrestling program.  One of Coach Renner’s main goals is to continue many of our unique wrestling traditions. Beyond that Coach Renner’s focus will be on development and increasing participation numbers.  Off-season development will continue with open mats, freestyle, junior Olympics and weight training.

Coach Renner stated, “I am excited to begin the process of building relationships and helping our athletes be successful in all phases of their lives”.

I am confident the Big Walnut wrestling program will continue moving forward with the hiring of Aaron Renner.  Coach Renner is the perfect role model coach for our student-athletes.

A meet the coach night will be scheduled for early June.
